- No images of planes, coffee beans, coffee mugs or aroma lines
- Company name can be either "Blue Sky", "Red Eye" or "Jet Fuel"
- Sleeves must be on a white Grande sized Starbucks cup
I began by thinking of alternate ways of flying. This led to magic carpet ride, which led to indo-asian influence, which eventually led to my Indian textile carpet style sleeve. All the chopped up images are relevant to Indian culture. If you look closely their is a tiger, lotus flower, Buddha, archways, henna, etc. I decided to make a series and try a few different things like multiple papers, sleeve placement, and even cup colour (even though we were told to use a white cup only). Overall I am pretty satisfied with the sleeves. They seem really fun to me. Like a quilt! And if you haven't figured it out by now, I chose "Red Eye". I used it in more of a metaphorical sense as a sun-like object. Ties into the whole Indian theme. Plus I'm sure a flight to India would be a Red Eye flight or vice versa.
