Greg & The Wolf

I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I have been home for a month and still have no job(s) and no money coming in. I had an interview at the local Art Gallery here for a student art instructor position. The interview was fine, if I did get the job the pay would not be outrageous. I'm sad that I will not be working at the Casino this summer, I had a lot of fun there the last couple years. So in my spare time I have been painting. I call this painting "The Sight" (30" x 40"). It took me two weeks working on and off, at times it was hard to find motivation. I was thinking about selling it considering that I have no income, and possibly start painting part-time and sell all my work locally or on E-Bay. I visited a local gallery/shop today to pick up a canvas. Some work was good, nothing outstanding, and some was fairly juvenile. If I get a job soon I was planning on organizing a show for the end of summer. I have a few venues that would be willing, I was thinking that 10 pieces would be satisfactory. After finishing this painting of the wolf I really want to continue with an outdoors-ish theme. Maybe Thunder Bay will be my muse, my inspiration and running theme. I need something to keep me busy. It's a big risk to rely on my work to sell, so I'm guessing this summer will be a huge learning experience and a leap of faith.

This is beautiful Greg,
this stuff sells like fresh baked bread!
You should for sure do the nature-gallery thing, especially in Thunder Bay. I can see that going over well.
