Well the school year is over and everyone is packing up to go home. I have a few days to chill and take in the beautiful weather we have had. Having free time on my hands is a new feeling. Since Christmas break I have been so preoccupied with school work that i have missed out on some of the things that used to be a part of my daily life. In the last couple days i have been getting in touch with myself again. It is strange because the simplest things are making me happy. Playing Frisbee and soccer, walking around past midnight, wearing a t-shirt outside all day. The summer will be a good chance for a break academically and a way to work on the things that i choose to do. I don't know what it will be, but i feel i need to get back to basics. One pad of paper and a pencil or pen. I want to have more fun than last summer, and i want to illustrate some of it. I have the summer spirit so bad right now! I am going to miss all of my friends from the GTA, and of course my roommates, but i will be glad to go home. I went for a bike ride today and i fell and scratched up my knee. It was the first time i scraped my knee in about five years. It felt good. Something a kid would do. A good way to start my summer holidays.
