Prospects

This is a promotional poster I created for a Thunder Bay event that I am coordinating called Riverfest. I held off on the illustration and graphics and let the type be the focus of the poster. I am trying to put more effort into graphic design because I think it will be a big part of my future. The combination of illustration and graphic design is an awesome force. To be competent in both fields simultaneously is ultimately what I am aiming for. It's not an unrealistic goal. It just takes time. It's easy for people to call themselves Illustrators because their is so much subjectivity in the profession. It takes bravery to call yourself a Graphic Designer because the line between good and bad design is fairly well established.

I like it a lot. It looks like a fun poster, which can only mean it would be a fun event.

Thanks buddy. It's too bad I can't be at the event. I'll be in Oakville partying on our first 4th year weekend!
